8:59 p.m. Sunday — Megan Nicole Emel, 22, of Butler was charged with simple assault after allegedly punching her boyfriend, Dorian Tyral Murray, in the face, scratching his back and slamming his head into the wall.

3:13 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Marietta Bindernagel, 50, of Butler hit an embankment off Armco Drive. Police determined her brake system failed.

July 17 — Ryan Zachery Wilson, 26, of Butler was charged with intimidation of a witness/victim after allegedly sending text messages to Megan Bailey on July 9 threatening to turn her into Butler County Children and Youth Services.

Wilson had just been released from Butler County Prison after being arrested for allegedly stealing $440 worth of items from Bailey’s East Wayne Street apartment that day.

9:55 a.m. July 21 — A car driven by Mary Thompson, 84, of Butler and a compact SUV driven by Larry Goettler, 59, of Butler collided at the intersection of Route 8 and North Street.

July 12 — Christopher Warren Schmidt, 39, of Butler was charged with theft after allegedly stealing $300 from Nadesha Anastasoff at an apartment at 225 College St.

4 p.m. Thursday — An SUV driven by Kaleb Young, 18, of Karns City hit a mailbox and bushes along Chicora Road before hitting a tree. Young, who sustained minor neck injuries, was cited for not driving on the right side of the road.

12:50 p.m. July 21 — A car driven by a 16-year-old Chicora girl and a car driven by Jessica Mrozoski, 28, of Butler collided at the intersection of Chicora and Seven Hills roads in Oakland Township. The teenage driver was cited for a stop sign violation.

July 11 — Ronald Allan Sanderson Jr., 18, of West Sunbury was charged with theft after allegedly stealing $450 in loose change from Stephen Hockenberry at 298 Mack Road in Clay Township.
