Freeport’s Macy Smolic scored 14 points and added 12 rebounds, but the Yellowjackets (1-2) dropped a 59-50 overtime decision to visiting Apollo-Ridge in high school girls basketball play Monday night.
The Vikings outscored the Yellowjackets 16-7 in the extra period.
Zoe Soilis also scored 14 points for Freeport (1-2).
