Grove City scores win over rival SR
Spencer Marnich and Derek Turner each scored 14 points as the Grove City boys basketball team pulled away from Slippery Rock in the second half for a 66-46 home region win Tuesday night.
Marnich also had 14 rebounds.
Brendan Record added 13 points for the Eagles (12-6, 7-6), who kept their playoff hopes alive.
Jake Whitmer scored 13 points, Brady Kadlubek 12 and Camren Neal 11 for the Rockets (5-12, 1-10).
