Butler residents Tasha Spencer and Justin Ponteous were united in marriage on May 26 at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. A reception was held May 29 at Betsy's Barn.

The bride is the daughter of Donald and Deborah Spencer of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Kevin and Janice Ponteous, also of Butler.

The maids of honor were Kristen Newell of Oakdale and Tricia Zarnick of Butler.

Performing the duties of best man was Matt Schaefer of Butler.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Butler High School and a 2003 graduate of Slippery Rock University. She works at Butler Memorial Hospital in Butler.

The bridegroom graduated from BHS in 1997. He works for the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union 47 in northwest Pennsylvania.

The couple is making their home in Meridian.
