Butler residents Brandi Day and Brandon Stein were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 27 at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Butler. The Rev. James Dollhopf officiated. A reception followed at the Highfield Community Center.
The bride is the daughter of Glenda Day of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Barry and Pamela Stein of Butler.
The bride was presented for marriage by her grandfather, Paul Smith of Butler.
The honor attendant was the bride's sister Lenita Day of Butler. Bridesmaids included Tina Smithbauer, Gretchen DeAngello and Courtney Peate, all of Butler; Kristen Bachman of Zelienople; and Melissa DeMark of Pittsburgh. The flower girl was Anna Michalek of Butler.
Performing the duties of best man was the groom's brother, Brad Stein of Butler. Ushers included the groom's brother Bryan Stein, Doug Smith and Jerry Smithbauer, all of Butler; Steve Jordan of Pittsburgh; and Tom Mason of Zelienople. The ring bearer was Noah Smithbauer of Butler.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Butler High School and a 2003 and 2005 graduate of Chatham College, earning a bachelor of science degree in biology and a master of science degree in physician assistant studies. She works as a physician's assistant in the Sharon Regional Health System in Sharon.
The bridegroom graduated from Butler High School in 1999 and from Robert Morris University in 2003, earning a bachelor of science degree in Information Systems Management and a master of science degree in Internet information systems. He works as a developer with U.S. Steel in Pittsburgh.
Following a honeymoon trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple is making their home in Butler.
