Tara and Michael Schmidt

Tara Schuman of Cranberry Township and Michael Schmidt of Mars exchanged wedding vows at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 27 at Cranberry Community United Presbyterian Church. The Rev. J. Harper Brady officiated. He was assisted by Michael Koch. A reception was held in Oldenski Hall at St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church, Cranberry Township.

The bride is the daughter of David and Linda Schuman of Cranberry Township. Parents of the bridegroom are Michael Schmidt of North Side and Deborah Schmidt of Mars.

The matron of honor was Jessica Schuman of Bellvue and the maid of honor was the bridegroom's sister, Carrie Schmidt of Zelienople. Bridesmaids included Jodi Zema and Traci Butia, both of Cranberry Township; Heidi Steele of Valencia; and Cami Witmer of High Point, N.C. The junior bridesmaid was Allison Clifford of Allison Park.

Best men were the bride's brother, Matthew Schuman of Bellvue, and Glen Milbert of Gibsonia. Ushers included Jason Zema of Cranberry Township; Jason Yeager and J.D. Vanbuskirk, both of Valencia; Tom Bianco of Wexford; and Brian Obman of Upper Marlboro, Md. The ring bearer was Robert Clifford of Allison Park.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Seneca Valley High School and a 2002 graduate of Slippery Rock University. She works for Eagle Mountain Scientific in Warrendale.

The bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of Mars High School and a 2000 graduate of Pittsburgh Technical Institute. He works for Symmetry Automobile Techniques in Allison Park.

The couple is making their first home in Economy Borough after honeymooning in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
