Bishop, McFarland
Jolena Bishop of Karns City and Tyrel McFarland of Chicora were united in marriage at 1:30 p.m. July 23 at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Bradys Bend. The Rev. Anthony Ditto and the Rev. Louis Cheatham officiated. A reception followed at the Bishop residence and family farm.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Janice Bishop of Karns City. Parents of the bridegroom are Sid McFarland of Montgomery, Ala., and Suzy McFarland of Chicora.
The maid of honor was the bride's sister, Jocelyn Bishop of Karns City. The bride's sisters, Jennifer Honse of Mantua, Ohio, and Jacquelyn Fetchko of Valencia, served as the matrons of honor. Bridesmaids included the groom's sister, Traci McFarland of Chicora, Candace McClure of Pittsburgh, Angie Brown of Indiana and Colleen Malena of Charleroi.
Performing the duties of best man was the groom's brother, Trent McFarland of Montgomery. Ushers included the bride's brothers, Jacob Bishop, Jedidiah Bishop and Joshua Bishop, all of Karns City; and Clark Rolli of Waynesburg, Joshua Anderson of Chicora, Dustin Robinson of East Brady and Doug Rodgers of Saxonburg.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Karns City High School and a 2002 graduate of Seton Hill University. She works as a family and consumer sciences teacher at Elderton High School, part of the Armstrong School District.
The bridegroom graduated in 1998 from Karns City High School and in 2002 from Waynesburg College. He works as a social studies teacher at Valley High School in the New Kensington-Arnold School District.
Following a honeymoon trip to the Sandals Resort in Jamaica, the couple is making their home in Vandergrift.
