2:31 a.m. Saturday — Timothy Uncapher, 26, of Butler was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving the wrong way on a one-way street following a traffic stop on South Washington Street.11:12 p.m. Friday — Ryan Burd, 25, of Butler was charged with writing a bad $30 check to the API store on South Monroe Street.Thursday — Thirteen Butler residents were charged with writing bad checks of various amounts to Friedman's on West Brady Street.1:30 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Jonathan Shoop, 26, of Natrona Heights struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Justin Galan, 26, of Butler on Main Street while it was stopped waiting for a vehicle to turn left onto Pearl Street. Shoop complained about an injured toe but refused medical treatment. Shoop was cited for not having valid insurance. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.10:47 a.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Jacklyn Stine, 43, of Lyndora struck a utility pole on North Sixth Avenue. She was not injured. Stine was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, accidents involving unattended property, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
11:57 p.m. Sunday — Joshua Fine, 24, of Butler was arrested for possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on North Chestnut Street.9 a.m. Sunday — Trena Rogers of Hilliards lost control of her SUV on a patch of ice on Route 58 in Marion Township and struck an embankment before overturning. She was wearing a seat belt and had minor injuries.5:05 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Kristy Pinkerton, 42, of New Castle struck an embankment off Route 422 in Clearfield Township before overturning. She was wearing a seat belt and received minor injuries. She was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.4:35 a.m. Sunday — A vehicle driven by Brian Michael, 23, of Petrolia drove up an embankment off an icy Bruin Road in Washington Township before rolling onto its roof. No one was injured.1:58 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Francis Huncheck, 51, of Butler hit a utility pole off Geibel Road in Summit Township. He was wearing a seat belt and received minor injuries. The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.8:25 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Billie Deeter, 23, of Franklin and a pickup truck driven by Penny Sloan, 58, of Butler collided on Route 8 in Brady Township. Both vehicles' occupants were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Police are investigating the cause. The Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company assisted at the scene.2:58 a.m. Saturday — An unknown vehicle struck a wooden wishing well, a gas meter and a house at 121 McGrady Hollow Road in Summit Township before fleeing the area.Saturday — Someone stole a $600 Honda Brand 13 Horsepower gas engine from a well pump assembly owned by KIS Oil and Gas off East Slippery Rock Road in Donegal Township between 6 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday.Saturday — Someone broke into Joseph Macurak's residence at 510 Cherry Road in Fairview Township and stole a 100-foot extension cord and several sets of 15-inch tire chains, worth a total of $150, between 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday.4:16 p.m. Thursday — David E. Watts, 21, of East Brady was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on East Cunningham Street in Butler.March 5 — Someone got the check card number of Judy Robb of West Sunbury and bought items from various stores totaling $1,896.March 2 — Joseph Smith, 19, of West Sunbury was charged with simple assault and harassment after allegedly grabbing a 19-year-old Butler woman and bruising her at 106 McGregor Road in Clay Township sometime in the afternoon.State Police, Mercer2:30 p.m. Saturday — A 14-year-old boy was cited for retail theft after allegedly stealing a pair of shoes from Factory Brand Shoes in Springfield Township.8:17 p.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by Harold Denbow of Grove City and a car driven by Samantha Finnefrock of Grove City collided on Cranberry Road in Pine Township. Finnefrock was taken to Grove City Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries. Denbow refused treatment. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.8 p.m. Thursday — Someone stole a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix owned by Ryan Wingate of Clearfield while it was parked at Prime Outlets in Springfield Township. Police are investigating.4:50 p.m. March 5 — A pickup truck driven by Alesha Webb of Grove City struck the rear of a minivan driven by Carrie Conley of Grove City on Route 208 in Springfield Township. Webb was cited for not driving a vehicle at a safe speed.10:30 a.m. March 4 — A car driven by Heather Gould, 28, of Slippery Rock hit a tree on North Liberty Road in Liberty Township. No injuries were reported. Gould was cited for not driving a vehicle at a safe speed.
4:20 a.m. Sunday — A pickup truck driven by Kevin Cooper, 27, no address listed, traveled off Route 368 in Perry Township, rolled over and hit a tree. His passenger, Justin Barger, 22, received moderate injuries. Cooper and a second passenger, Michael Stewart, 34, received minor injuries. Cooper was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
