10:30 p.m. Saturday — Brooke Donelson, 22, of Butler is accused of shoplifting several items valued at $110.91 at the Kmart, Pullman Square. When a store employee stopped Donelson, she allegedly became angry and starting cursing, according to a police report.
Among the items she tried to take, police said, were women's and infant's clothing and a $4 baby rattle. Police said Donelson is charged with retail theft and disorderly conduct.
1:26 a.m. Saturday — Frank L. Taylor, 44, of Sykesville, Jefferson County, was arrested for driving under the influence on North Main Street hill.
1:10 p.m. Tuesday — Barbara I. Diday, 60, of 419 Bradley Rd., Stoneboro, pulled into the parking lot of Greentree Cleaners at 722 S. Center St. and failed to stop. The vehicle hit the front of the building causing significant damage. An estimate was not yet available.7:54 a.m. Wednesday — Harold Dennison, of Park Street, Grove City, reported that his rear tires were punctured and the front door jamb of his residence was also damaged. Estimate of damage is $250. Anyone having information is asked to contact police.9 a.m. Thursday — Ann Marie Booth, 45, of 419 Rainey Avenue, Grove City, was arrested on a warrant from police from Chester, Pa. She also faces a charge of failure to appear for a sentence for criminal trespassing. Booth was placed in Mercer County Jail awaiting transfer to Chester County Jail.9:40 p.m. Thursday — Country Fair reported that a woman driver backed into a gas pump and also hit a column of the building. Some damage occurred to the rear of the vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
10:10 p.m. Sunday — A17-year-old West Sunbury boy, who police did not identify, suffered minor injuries when the car he was driving struck an embankment and overturned on Claytonia Road near Halston Road in Clay Township.6:02 p.m. Sunday — Acar driven by Robert Brown, 48, of Pittsburgh crashed into an embankment on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township. Police said Brown was cited for an undisclosed traffic violation.7:55 p.m. Saturday — Three 15-year-old boys face charges in juvenile court after police received a report that mailboxes were vandalized on Karnes Road in Summit Township.Troopers found the boys, two from the Butler area and the other from Fenelton, who "were ordered to lie down on the ground and not move," a police report said.One of the boys got up and ran off; however, he was later identified and is charged with escape and underage drinking. Police cited the other boys, one for underage drinking and one for possession of drug paraphernalia.Police noted that they did not find any mailboxes that were damaged.6:20 p.m. Saturday — Apickup truck driven by Michael Jamison, 43, of Slippery Rock struck a deer on Mercer Road in Center Township. The pickup, after hitting the deer, struck a utility pole.12:10 a.m. Saturday — Nathan McClintock, 23, of Rouseville, Venango County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 173 in
11:10 p.m. Friday — Erick Dubois, 20, of Beaver Falls was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his car struck a ditch and rolled several times before hitting a tree and landing on its roof. Police said Dubois, who suffered minor injuries, also faces several traffic violations.11:04 p.m. Friday — James William Freehling, 35, is accused of assaulting his wife, Tina Freehling, 20, at the couple's Scott Lane home in Winfield Township. Police said James Freehling is charged with simple assault and harassment.9:01 p.m. Friday — Crystal Stark, 26, of Petrolia was arrested for suspicion of DUI after her sport utility vehicle hit an embankment and flipped onto its roof on Washington Street in Bruin. Police said Stark suffered minor injuries.4:25 a.m. Thursday — Jared W. Mayhew, 27, of Renfrew faces charges of DUI, careless driving, driving too fast for conditions and a lane violation after his SUVrolled over on Spithaler School Road near Brownsdale Road in Forward Township.6:55 p.m. Wednesday — Three people were injured when Brian Blake, 36, of Butler lost control of his pickup on ice-slickened Route 68 and struck an SUV near Neff Lane in Oakland Township.Blake and Evan Smith, 25, of Butler, who was driving the SUV, suffered minor injuries. Tara Smith, 25, of Butler, a passenger in the SUV, suffered moderate injuries.
2:55 a.m. Sunday — David Allen Johns, 26, of Adrian was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car struck a fire hydrant along Route 268 in East Franklin Township.
