A May 28 wedding is being planned by Lisa Di Bartolomeo and Al Vish, both of Pittsburgh.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Deanna Di Bartolomeo of Morgantown, W.Va. and the late Dr. Anthony Di Bartolomeo. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Albert Vish of Cranberry Township.

The bride-elect graduated in 1988 from Morgantown High School; in 1991 summa cum laude from West Virginia University with a bachelor of arts in Slavic studies, Russian and foreign languages; in 1993 from the University of Glasgow in the United Kingdom with master's in Russian Literature; and in 2001 with a Ph.D. in Slavic languages and literatures from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a faculty member in the department of Slavic languages and literatures at the University of Pittsburgh.

Her fiancé graduated in 1987 from Butler High School and in 1992 from West Virginia University with a bachelor of science in geology. He is an archaeologist at Skelly and Loy.
