Christian Locher dropped in 29 points and Ian Hindley had 21 to spearhead the Mars boys basketball team to a 61-51 section triumph over Highlands Tuesday.

The Planets outscored the Rams 18-9 in the third quarter.

Cole Baxter remained unbeaten at 189 pounds and heavyweight Chris White earned a pin, but the Butler wrestling team fell to Franklin Regional 29-28 in the first round of the WPIAL team tournament at Canon-McMillan High School.The one-point loss ended the Golden Tornado hopes for a WPIAL team title."Getting eliminated in the first round blew a chance at reaching one of our goals," said Butler wrestling coach Scott Stoner. "We have to face the fact of not getting by the first round again next year."The match started at 160 pounds and began well for Butler.But the Golden Tornado needed a major decision from Mike Crawford at 145 pounds.
