PARKER — The body of an Armstrong County man that was recovered from the Allegheny River near the bridge in Parker Friday afternoon has been identified as William D. Kelly, 26, of Parker.

Authorities said he and a friend jumped from the bridge Thursday. The friend swam to shore, while Kelly started to swim but disappeared under the surface.

Emergency personnel searched for Kelly into Thursday evening and Friday morning before finding his body Friday afternoon.

The cause of death has been ruled a drowning.
