Paul Douglas Howryla, 55, of Wilmington, N.C., passed away Monday.

He was born Jan. 31, 1956, in Butler, where he grew up and graduated from Butler High School.

He was an active Boy Scout and was awarded the honor of being an Eagle Scout.

Paul served in the Army National Guard and was retired from General Electric Air Craft Engines.

Remembered is his daughter, Lynette Messick, who preceded him in death.

Paul is survived by his wife, Rosemary Howryla; a daughter, Marylee Reaume and son-in-law Gabriel Reaume; his parents, Michael and Arlene Howryla of Butler; a sister, Joyce Sheakley and her husband, Baxter; a brother, Rick Howryla and his wife, Carol; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

<B>HOWRYLA</B> — The family of Paul Douglas Howryla, who died Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, will see friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at <B>Wilmington Funeral and Cremation Chapel</B>, 1535 S. 41st St., Wilmington, N.C. A memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Therese Catholic Church, 207 S. Lumina Ave., Wrightsville Beach, N.C.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cape Fear Community College Marine Science Program, 411 N.
