2:07 p.m. Thursday — No one was injured when a sport utility vehicle driven by Amy L. Muntz, 26, of Butler and a school bus driven by Ronald G. Edwards, 60, of Center Township collided on Hansen Avenue at Fairground Hill Road. There were no passengers on the bus. The bus, owned by Valley Lines of Freeport, had minor damage.4:56 p.m. Wednesday — A child was hurt when cars driven by Madeline J. Miller, 25, of Butler and Daniell F. Barnett, 42, of Evans City collided at West New Castle Street and North Ninth Avenue. Shelby Barnett, 11, of Evans City, a passenger in Barnett's car, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. The child was wearing a seat belt.

11:17 a.m. Wednesday — Maureen Roche, 58, of Portersville was arrested after she showed up highly intoxicated at the Butler Memorial Hospital parking lot. Police said the woman was so impaired that they feared she was a danger to herself.At the police station, Roche allegedly damaged a holding cell. Police cited her for disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and criminal mischief.4:43 a.m. Wednesday — James Hogan, 64, of Butler was arrested following a disturbance at Butler Memorial Hospital. Police cited Hogan for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.Wednesday — Police accused Aaron Brown, 32, of Butler Township with attempting to buy a rifle last year with allegedly falsified information.In June 2012 Brown tried to buy the gun at Dunham's Sports in Moraine Pointe Plaza, but the Pennsylvania Instant Check system denied the purchase. State police, in charge of the background check, notified township police.Police said Brown is charged with unsworn falsification to authorities, a misdemeanor.

11:25 p.m. Thursday — Matthew W. Frances, 21, of Moon Township, Allegheny County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Keister Road and Main Street in Slippery Rock.8:05 p.m. Thursday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Sally M. Dillaman, 27, of Butler struck a tree and rolled onto its side on Sunset Drive in Center Township. Dillaman was cited for a lane violation.10 a.m. Thursday — Matthew J. Daniels, 25, of Butler was arrested in Butler Township on a warrant from Trumbull County, Ohio. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.Tuesday — Randy R. Guthrie, 35, of Center Township was arrested on charges he made a false written statement in attempting to buy a long gun last year at Logan's Gun Gallery in Washington Township.While filling out the required federal form to buy the gun on Dec. 12, Guthrie denied that he had ever been convicted of domestic violence, according to court documents.The information he supplied was entered into the Pennsylvania Instant Check system.The system rejected the would-be purchase when it showed Guthrie in 2004 was convicted of simple assault stemming from a domestic abuse case in Venango County.Guthrie was arraigned on charges of making a false written statement to buy a gun, a third-degree felony. Additionally, he is charged with unsworn falsification to authorities, a misdemeanor. He is free on his own recognizance.7:11 p.m. Aug. 30 — A 17-year-old Slippery Rock boy allegedly assaulted his 15-year-old brother during an altercation at a home in West Liberty. The suspect is charged with simple assault in juvenile court.

2:45 a.m. Thursday — Jonathan R. Crawford, 27, of Ford City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his motorcycle crashed into a guardrail on Clearfield Pike in Rayburn Township. Crawford suffered minor injuries.8:26 p.m. Wednesday — Dale Glenn Smith, 46, of Kittanning was arrested after allegedly carjacking a pickup truck at a home in the 1400 block of Butler Road in West Franklin. Police said Smith took the truck while it was occupied by 19-year-old Anthony Panichella of Kittanning.Ronald Bowser of Worthington, who owns the pickup, identified Smith for police.Smith was later arrested and arraigned on felony charges of robbery of a vehicle and theft, and misdemeanor charges of reckless endangerment and criminal mischief. He was placed in the Armstrong County Jail on $10,000 bail.8:35 p.m. Monday — Janice L. Bryan, 52, of Adrian was arrested for suspicion of DUI in East Franklin Township.
