2 Mars athletes win at MAC

Two members of Mars' boys track and field team won events at the Midwestern Athletic Conference Meet, held Wednesday at the Mars Athletic Complex.

Senior Tommy Spreng placed first in the pole vault with a height of 11 feet, four inches. Jacob Ottenweller, a junior, won the shot put with a throw of 43-3.

Junior Kirsten Maybach led the Planets' girls effort by finishing runner-up in the triple jump with a distance of 35-3.

Karns City girls vs. Clarion-Limestone and Union — Ashley Fox won the 100 and 200 as the Gremlins edged Clarion-Limestone 80-70 and downed Union 105-40.Dominika Logue won the shot and discus for Union.
