Pens now call PPG Paints Arena home
PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Penguins has a new home, sort of.
The Stanley Cup champions will continue to play their games at the same venue downtown, but it no longer will be called Consol Energy Arena.
Starting today, the new name is PPG Paints Arena, according to a news rerelease from PPG.
The new name took effect immediately under a 20-year agreement with the Pens.
Financial terms of the change were not revealed.
