A Butler man is jailed on charges he made a series of ominous threats last week to a former girlfriend.

Storm Michael Comly, 24, of Butler is charged on a first-degree misdemeanor count of terroristic threats.

Comly's ex-girlfriend, who lives on the 300 block of North Sixth Avenue, notified Butler police about 8:15 a.m. Thursday following the latest of several calls made by the defendant.

The calls apparently started Tuesday when he called the 25-year-old woman, according to court documents, saying he was “coming to her house (to) nail all of the doors shut and burn the house down with her family inside.”

The next day, Comly called her again, this time telling her he was “going to cut her from head to foot and watch her bleed out,” according to documents.

He made another call to the woman on Thursday, according to a police affidavit, saying he was “going to come over to her house with some friends and it is going to be a good time.”

District Judge Wayne Seibel arraigned Comly, and later remanded him to the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail. His preliminary hearing was not immediately known.
