Whalen, Stahl
Butler residents Janice Whalen and Jason Stahl were united in marriage at 2 p.m. May 20 at St. Christopher at the Lake Roman Catholic Church in Prospect. The Rev. Matthew Tosello officiated. A reception followed at the Tanglewood Center in Lyndora.
The bride is the daughter of John Patrick and Barbara Whalen of Evans City. Parents of the bridegroom are Vaughn and SuSann Diggs of Meridian and Jack Stahl of Butler.
The maid of honor was Amanda Whalen of Evans City. Bridesmaids included Sharyn Parenti of Surprise, Ariz.; Amy Young of Mahwah, N.J.; and Dana Glunt of Hendersonville. The flower girl was Chloe Cahall of Callery.
Serving the bridegroom as best man was Matthew Sanders of Portersville. Ushers included Mason Rouser of Christiansburg, Va.; Craig Gray of Ford City; and Phil Angert of Butler.
The bride is a 1997 graduate of Butler High School and a 2001 graduate of Westminster College. She works for Precious People Child Care in Mars.
The bridegroom graduated in 1989 from the Clonlara School program and in 1996 from Slippery Rock University. He is self-employed.
Following a honeymoon trip to Georgia and South Carolina, the couple is planning to make their home in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
