Monday - Dennis Matanok of Butler reported a Pennsylvania license plate, YBS9430, was taken sometime over the weekend from his truck on Jackson Street.9:25 a.m. Thursday - A car driven by Warren Green, 20, of Summit Township backed into a sport utility vehicle parked in front of an East Jefferson Street convenience store. Green's car then sped forward and struck another SUV parked at a gas pump.A child, Lindsay Green, no age given, of Summit Township, riding in a safety seat in the car, suffered minor injuries. Warren Green, who told police he believed the crash occurred when the car's accelerator stuck, was cited for driving with a suspended license and accidents involving injury while not licensed.1:30 p.m. Sept. 12 - Lester Huselton, 54, of Connoquenessing Township was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car struck the rear of a motorcycle stopped at a red light at Kittanning and East Jefferson streets. Michael Beale, 39, of Donegal Township, who was driving the motorcycle, was not injured.

9:39 a.m. Thursday - Vehicles driven by Harry Ennis, 72, of Prospect and Jana Emmett, 38, of Zelienople collided in the parking lot of the Shop 'n Save supermarket on West Walnut Street.8:39 a.m. Thursday - Vehicles driven by David Scarborough, 24, of Evans City and Dale E. Cady, 28, of Cabot collided at West Beaver and South Clay streets.

11 p.m. Sunday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Eric Danielson, 36, of New Castle and a car driven by Brad Hack, 37, of Portersville collided at Route 19 and Moraine Drive in Muddy Creek Township. The car, after the crash, struck a tree.6 a.m. Sunday - A pickup truck driven by Daniel Thomas, 24, of Prospect struck a tree and went down an embankment along Kelly Road, about one-quarter mile south of Route 488 in Muddy Creek Township.Sunday - A red, 2002 Honda CR-125 dirt bike was taken from an unlocked shed in a burglary at a Hufnagel Road home in Muddy Creek Township. The burglary occurred between 8 p.m. Saturday and 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Brian Hyatt of Harmony owns the dirt bike.Sunday - Joseph Signorelli, 34, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife at his Petrolia Road home in Fairview Township. Deborah Signorelli, 44, of Petrolia told police she was injured in the assault between 11 p.m. Saturday and 5 a.m. Sunday.The defendant was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $25.000 bond.Sunday - A 5-gallon container filled with gas was taken between Friday and Sunday from the Whitestown Road home of Patricia Van Dale in Connoquenessing Township.Sunday - Someone broke into a pickup truck at the Park and Ride lot at Route 488 and Stanford Road in Muddy Creek Township, and tried to steal the vehicle.The pickup's steering column was broken in the attempted theft between 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday. Raymond Wide of Ellwood City, Lawrence County, owns the vehicle.Sunday - A 1990 GMC Sierra pickup was reported stolen from South Franklin Street in Prospect. Police later recovered the pickup owned by Richard Brain of Prospect. Police did not say when or where the pickup was found.10:45 p.m. Saturday - Eric Guthrie, 19, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and underage drinking at routes 68 and 356 in Butler Township.3:45 p.m. Saturday - Cars driven by Louis Ansell, 73, of Rochester, Beaver County, and Joann Nicodemus, 55, of West Sunbury collided at Unionville Road and Country Club Road in Franklin Township. Nicodemus, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.1:15 a.m. Saturday - Sean Barrett, 19, of Bruin said an unknown man stole a $20 bill from him as he stood outside the County Line Bar in Clearfield Township. He described the robber as white and in his late teens to early-20s, about 5 feet, 5 inches tall with a stocky build.He was driving a dark-colored, four-door sedan with a stock muffler and new, silver wheel rims. The car has a small dent in the rear passenger side panel. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the barracks at 724-284-8100.Saturday - The Hunter Lane street sign was taken overnight in Jefferson Township.5:07 p.m. Friday - Kaley Garman, no age or address given, swerved her car to avoid a truck on Route 258 in Slippery Rock Township, causing the car to go off the road and down an embankment about two-tenths of a mile from the Butler-Mercer County line.Police only identified Garman as a Slippery Rock University student.Meanwhile, almost simultaneous to that wreck, another crash occurred at the same location when Brian Lucas, no age or address driven, also an SRU student, swerved his car to avoid a truck and rolled over.Garman and Lucas were both cited for careless driving.4 p.m. Friday - Tamara Le Frye, 46, of Butler was arrested for allegedly shoplifting $167 in baby clothes from the Bon Ton store, Clearview Mall in Butler Township. Frye is charged with retail theft.1:50 p.m. Friday - A car driven by Jeffery Wong, 18, of Pittsburgh struck the rear of a motor home on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. Lewis Weingard, 76, of Tionesta, Forest County, was driving the motor home.11 a.m. Friday - Joseph Everetts, 53, was arrested after being chased down by a trooper who had gone to Everetts' Eldorado road home in Parker Township to seize his suspended driver's license.Police said when Trooper Walter Bell got to the house, Everetts drove off in a car, which he later abandoned in the woods and ran off. But Bell caught Everetts, who was arraigned before District Judge Joseph O'Donnell.Everetts is charged with being a habitual offender for driving with a suspended license, driving an unregistered car, driving following suspension of registration, driving without a license and driving without insurance.10:35 a.m. Friday - A car driven by Daelyn Wolfe, 19, of Warrendale skidded off rain-soaked Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township, struck a guide rail abutment and slid about 50 feet. Wolfe, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.5:40 a.m. Friday - A car driven by Kristen Massaro, no age given, of Butler struck a utility pole along Route 38 in Eau Claire.Friday - Someone Thursday or Friday flattened four tires and scratched the entire body of a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier at a Washington Street home in Parker, Armstrong County. Kelly Howard of Parker owns the car.3 p.m. Sept. 11 - Lara Cuckler, 19, of Butler was arrested for allegedly breaking into her parents' Sunset Drive home in Center Township and taking 18 compact discs. Police said the CDs were later sold to a music store at the Clearview Mall in Center Township.Cuckler is charged with burglary, trespass, theft and receiving stolen property. Robert Edgar Schmidt, 20, of Butler is also charged with receiving stolen property in the case.Sept. 11 - A number of items were taken in a burglary between Sept. 3 and 11 at the home of Anthony Murphy at the Maple Manor Trailer Court in Brady Township. Taken in the break-in were rings, a box of linoleum floor tiles, compact discs and a Dale Earnhardt collector's knife.Sept. 9 - A flatbed truck reported stolen Sept 8 was found a day later at an undisclosed location in Mercer County. The truck, owned by Kenneth Peffer of Harrisville, was taken from Dale's Garage on Eau Claire Road in Harrisville.12:07 a.m. Sept. 7 - Joshua Ebig, 33, of Clinton Township was arrested for allegedly threatening his wife, Kimberly Ebig, 32, during an argument in a car on Golden City Road in Jefferson Township. Joshua Ebig is charged with simple assault, reckless endangerment, terroristic threats and public drunkenness.5:20 a.m. Sept. 5 - A car driven by Eric Stutz, 35, of Butler sideswiped another car, driven by Richard Sloan, 59, of Butler, on Route 8 in Brady Township.Police said Stutz did not stop after the crash. He was later found and cited for the hit-and-run crash.

4:15 p.m. Sunday - The engine compartment of a pickup truck ignited in fire on Whittling Road in Richland Township, Clarion County. Eric Wingard, 21, of Emlenton, who was driving the pickup, managed to get out of the vehicle unhurt. Firefighters put out the blaze, which severely damaged the pickup.

5:40 p.m. Saturday - David Critchlow, 22, of Grove City slammed on his brakes to avoid hitting two deer, causing his car to skid off rain-soaked Amsterdam Road in Liberty Township. The car struck a ditch and rolled onto its roof.
