Newcomb, McCurdy
Jillian Newcomb of Chicora and Patrick McCurdy of Butler were united in marriage at 1 p.m. Aug. 12 at First United Methodist Church in Butler. The Rev. J. David Panther officiated. A reception followed at the Vagabond Center in Lyndora.
The bride is the daughter of Steve and Becky Newcomb of Butler and Thomas and Anita Fischer of Chicora. Parents of the bridegroom are Ken and Donna McCurdy and Joe and Mary Ann Phillips, all of Butler.
The maid of honor was Lisa Rearick and the matron of honor was Nicole Harding, both of Butler. Bridesmaids included Danielle Dickey, Suzanne Shewalter, Susan Murray, Dana Burns and Alyssa Newcomb, all of Butler. The flower girls were Janelle Bronder of Lancaster and Rachel Murray of Butler.
Performing the duties of best man was Chris Pugh of Atlanta. Ushers included Chris Bellis, Robert McGraw, Matt Tynan, Phil Nastasi, Spencer Murray and Chris Newcomb, all of Butler, and James Fiscus of Charlotte, N.C.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Butler High School.
The bridegroom graduated in 1991 from Butler High School. He works for the Department of Homeland Security.
The couple is making their home in Ellicott City, Md.
