PITTSBURGH— Moniteau graduate Dalton Anderson, a freshman on the Westminster College track and field team, won the javelin event Saturday at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational.
Anderson tossed the javelin 174 feet, two inches.
Knoch graduate Nicole Cress, a junior on the Titan women’s team, placed second in the 100 meters with a personal-best time of 12.65 seconds.
Grove City High graduate Hailey Hall, a Westminster senior, won the pole vault with a jump of 11 feet, 6.25 inches.
[naviga:h3]Knoch grad Shelton qualifies for ECAC[/naviga:h3]
PITTSBURGH — Knoch graduate Jenna Shelton, a member of the Penn State Behrend women’s track and field team, qualified for the ECAC meet early this outdoor season by winning the 1,500-meter event Saturday at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational.
Her winning time was 4 minutes, 53.71 seconds. Shelton also took third in the 800 in 2:25.25.
Fellow Knoch graduate Ashlynn Carlsson helped Behrend’s 4x400 meter relay team place second in 4:13.09.
