Feile, Hillwig
Melissa Feile and Matthew Hillwig, both of Ames, Iowa, were united in marriage at 1 p.m., Oct. 14 at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in St. Marys. The Rev. Frank Ziemkiewicz, O.S.B., officiated. A reception followed at the Moose Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Elmquist of St. Marys. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hillwig Sr. of West Sunbury.
The maid of honor was the bride's sister, Samantha Feile of Warren. Bridesmaids were Jennifer McKinney of St. Marys and the groom's sisters, Leeanne Hillwig of West Sunbury and Lyndsey Richey of Fort Drum, N.Y. The flower girl was Rachel Snyder of St. Marys.
Serving his brother as best man was Michael Hillwig Jr. of West Sunbury. Andrew Foudree of Ankeny, Iowa, served as an usher.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of St. Marys High School and 2003 graduate of Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, earning a bachelor of science degree in biology. She is currently a graduate student at Iowa State University, pursuing a degree in genetics.
The bridegroom graduated in 1999 from Moniteau High School and 2003 from Penn State Behrend, earning a bachelor of science degree in biology. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in plant biology at Iowa State University.
Following a honeymoon trip to St. Maarten, Caribbean, the couple is making their home in Ames.
