SLIPPERY ROCK — District Judge Tim Shaffer recently heard these cases:

Brianna V. Bistyga, 20, of New Castle waived to court charges of driving under the influence, DUI by a minor, minors prohibited from driving with any alcohol in their system, speeding, careless driving and underage drinking, filed March 5 by Slippery Rock University police.

Damen A. Black, 24, of Harrisville waived to court charges of possessing a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and disobeying traffic control devices, filed May 14 by Harrisville police.

Kyle P. Henderson, 19, of Moon Township, Allegheny County, waived to court charges of theft and institutional vandalism of an education facility, filed May 7 by SRU police.

Dustin M. Hockenberry, 18, of Volant, Lawrence County, waived to court charges of DUI by a minor, minors prohibited from driving with any alcohol in their system, underage drinking and careless driving, filed May 2 by Slippery Rock police.

William W. Hulings, 25, of Slippery Rock waived to court charges of DUI and careless driving, filed May 9 by Slippery Rock police.

Samantha M. Lamagna, 18, of Patton, Cambria County, waived to court charges of DUI by a minor, minors prohibited from driving with any alcohol in their system, hit-and-run, failing to notify police immediately after an accident, failing to keep right and disregarding traffic lanes, filed March 5 by state police.

Thomas H. Leavell, 23, of Meadville, Crawford County, waived to court charges of DUI, speeding and following too closely to another vehicle, filed May 16 by Slippery Rock police.

Jonathan R. Lopes, 20, of Butler waived to court charges of DUI by a minor, minors prohibited from driving with any alcohol in their system and disregarding traffic lanes, filed April 16 by state police.

Kody A. Sarnese, 25, of Portersville waived to court charges of burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief, filed May 4 by state police.

Kristopher D. Sarnese, 27, of Portersville waived to court charges of burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary and receiving stolen property, filed May 4 by state police.

CHICORA — District Judge Lewis Stoughton recently heard these cases filed by state police:Daniel J. Burke, 22, of Slippery Rock waived to court charges of driving under the influence, possessing a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and driving without headlights, filed May 3.Sally M. Dillaman, 26, of Butler waived to court charges of theft and access device fraud, filed March 2.Braedon Freiling, 23, of Pittsburgh was held for court on charges of possessing a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, filed April 23.Gregory Gargasz, 41, of Volant, Lawrence County, was held for court on charges of DUI and trespass by vehicle, filed March 5.Timothy Gifford, 43, of Sarver waived to court three counts of reckless endangerment, four counts of disorderly conduct and a charge of resisting arrest, filed June 11.Matthew Hertzig, 30, of Karns City pleaded guilty to charges of possessing drug paraphernalia and harassment, filed March 25. Hertzig was ordered to pay $519 in fines and court costs.Sandra K. Karch, 51, of Butler was held for court on charges of DUI, disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving and not wearing a seat belt, filed April 26.Joshua Medina, 23, of Butler waived to court charges of DUI, disregarding traffic lanes, failing to keep right, careless driving and not wearing a seat belt, filed May 23.Michael Musick Jr., 42, of Butler pleaded guilty to a charge of theft, filed May 18. Musick was ordered to pay $571.50 in restitution, fines and court costs.Ronald Musick, 43, of Butler pleaded guilty to a charge of theft, filed May 18. Musick was ordered to pay $571.50 in restitution, fines and court costs.Gilbert Smith, 32, of Emlenton, Venango County, waived to court charges of DUI, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving, filed April 23.Gregory P. Young, 39, of Butler waived to court charges of simple assault and harassment, filed May 10.
