12:39 p.m. Saturday — Police found a naked man on West Penn Street Extension after they were called for a report of a woman screaming.Austin D. Young, 18, of Summit Township, who appeared high on drugs, was arrested but not before allegedly trying to punch an officer. Police had to forcibly subdue him and take to the station.One of the officers later reported suffering a minor injury to his right hand.When Young sobered up and learned he had been arrested, he admitted to having ingested LSD.Young is charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.9:28 p.m. Friday — Nathan A. Harvey, 33, of Summit Township faces charges after police found him passed out in a seated position near the front door of the Sunoco/A-Plus store on West Jefferson Street.Harvey, who appeared to be under the influence of drugs, admitted he had earlier injected heroin. Officers searched him and found a syringe and four empty stamp bags of suspected heroin.Police said he faces charges of public drunkenness and possession of drug paraphernalia.

11 p.m. Monday — Robert S. Reed, 27, of Butler was arrested after he allegedly assaulted a 27-year-old woman at a home on Saint Andrews Drive in Center Township. Reed is accused of dragging the woman by the ankles down a flight of stairs and urinating on her.He was placed in the Butler County Prison on a charged of simple assault.Monday — A thief stole copper piping from a 66-year-old woman's home on Jamison Road in Venango Township. The theft happened between Aug. 24 and Monday.9:24 a.m. Sunday — Michael D. Lynn, 35, of Slippery Rock was arrested after allegedly assaulting a 25-year-old woman at the couple's home in the 600 block of Primrose Lane in Brady Township. Lynn was arraigned on a charge of simple assault and placed in the Butler County Prison.Sunday — Two small dirt bikes were reported stolen from a 47-year-old Pittsburgh man's camp site at Moraine Camplands on Staff Road in Brady Township. The bikes valued at a combined $1,850, were later found on the camp grounds.Residents told police that a tall, thin white male in his teens was seen riding one of the bikes.9:11 p.m. Saturday — Mark A. Devinney, 62, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 308 in Center Township.3:30 p.m. Saturday — Crystal Sue Bergbigler, 18, was reported missing after she left her home on Portman Road in Summit Township and failed to return.10:35 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Shawn Freeman, 24, of Slippery Rock struck a utility pole and pickup truck in Slippery Rock Township.Police said Freeman failed to stop at a stop sign a Route 173 and Stoughton Road traveled up an embankment and hit the pole. The car came back onto the road, sliding sideways and hitting the truck driven by Roy L. Murdick, 27, of Pittsburgh.Freeman, who fled the scene after the crash, faces several traffic citations for a stop sign violation and other unspecified offenses.1:20 p.m. Aug. 26 — Roxanne M. Roofe, 42, of Butler was hurt when the pickup truck she was driving struck the back of a triaxle truck on Route 8 at South Benbrook Road in Center Township. The pickup ended partially underneath the heavy truck driven by Randy L. Dixon, 49, of Wampum, Lawrence County.Roofe, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries but she refused medical treatment. Police cited her for a traffic light violation.1:01 a.m. Aug. 24 — A 19-year-old Butler man, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of DUI on 5th Street in East Butler.Aug. 21 — Unspecified prescription medication and money was stolen in a burglary at a home in the 200 block of Driftwood Drive at Saxony Estates in Jefferson Township. The break-in and theft happened between 6 and 8 p.m.A police report did not indicate if there are any suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.2:25 a.m. Aug. 16 — A suspected hit-and-run driver in a stolen car crashed on Route 8 north of Route 173 in Slippery Rock Township. The driver, who police did not identify, struck an embankment and spun around.The driver was gone before police got there. The car, which was stolen from New Castle, was found in the northbound lane facing south.

4:50 p.m. Monday — One person was hurt in a two-vehicle accident in East Franklin Township. The crash happened when Courtney G. Gibson, 33, of Ford City ran a red light in a sport utility vehicle and struck a car at Route 268 and Freeport Road.Hope A. Dailey, 26, of Kittanning, a passenger in the car, suffered minor injuries. She was wearing a seat belt. Anthony D. Balsone, 23, of Kittanning was driving the car.Gibson was cited for the red light violation.3:35 a.m. Sunday — A 35-year-old Adrian man faces felony assault charges after he got into an armed altercation with a woman in North Buffalo Township. Police did not identify the suspect, who was holding a handgun during the incident with the 27-year-old Kittanning woman. No injuries were report.Police said the man is charged with aggravated assault.Sunday — A burglar stole 15 unspecified guns that were in an unlocked gun safe at a home on Quarry Road in North Buffalo Township. Jewelry and a checkbook were also taken in the break-in between Aug. 25 and Sunday. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-543-2011.11:46 p.m. Saturday — Jonathan D. McKee, 50, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Westgate Drive in East Franklin Township.10:38 a.m. Saturday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Blaise L. Bowman, 24, of Freeport struck a guardrail and rolled over on Route 28 just south of exit 16 in Harrison Township. He lost control of his SUV while attempting to pass a car.Police cited Bowman for driving at an unsafe speed, disregarding traffic lanes, driving without insurance and careless driving.5 a.m. Saturday — A 23-year-old Pittsburgh man was arrested for suspected DUI following a stop at a sobriety checkpoint along Route 28 in Buffalo Township.Charges are pending a blood test. Police did not name the suspect.12:30 a.m. Saturday — A 24-year-old Freeport man was arrested for suspected DUI following a stop at a sobriety checkpoint along Route 28 in Buffalo Township.Charges are pending a blood test. Police did not name the suspect.3:25 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Robert Glies, 40, of Evans City struck the back of an SUV driven by Andrew J. Luciana, 30, of Springdale along Route 28 in Sharpsburg.Police said both vehicles were traveling in the left lane when traffic slowed in front of Luciana.Glies was cited with following too closely.Thursday — Two blue, 8-foot metal livestock gates were stolen from a home on Gaiser Road in West Franklin Township. The property, valued at $200, was stolen between Aug. 24 and Thursday. Police have no suspects.
