CENTER TWP — One person was injured in a two-vehicle collision Thursday morning at Route 8 and Route 308 in the township, authorities said.

The crash occurred around 6:20 a.m., according to state police, when a pickup truck turning left from Route 308 onto Route 8 south collided with a car headed north on Route 8.

Police said they are investigating which of the drivers apparently ran a red light. An accident report was not immediately available.

The driver of the car, a woman believed to be in her 30s or 40s, suffered unknown injuries, emergency crews said. She was taken by Butler Ambulance Service to Butler Memorial Hospital. The driver of the pickup, a man believed to be in his 60s, was not injured.

The Unionville Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene and helped with traffic control. The road closed a portion of the intersection for about an hour.

The truck and car, a Subaru Legacy, were both badly damaged and had to be towed.
