2 in custody in death of teenager

Two men are in police custody in connection with the death of a missing New Castle teenager.

Connor F. Henry, 20, of New Castle, was arrested Sunday in Ocean City, Md., according to New Castle police. He is charged with homicide and tampering with evidence, according to online court records.

The New Castle Police Department (NCPD) noted on Facebook Monday that it is awaiting an extradition hearing in Maryland to bring him back to New Castle.

Felony arrest warrants were issued Saturday for Henry and Todd A. Henry, 47, of New Castle.

The elder Henry is charged with conspiracy to commit homicide, obstruction of justice and tampering with evidence. On Facebook, the NCPD said Monday that he was in police custody.

The charges followed the investigation into a missing person's report filed June 5 for 19-year-old Amari Wise.

“The New Castle City Police Department is continuing to work with our law enforcement partners who are assisting in this investigation and in locating the defendants,” according to a post Sunday on the department's Facebook page.

No other information was immediately available and police did not return phone calls Sunday and Monday. Lawrence County District Attorney Joshua Lamancusa could not be reached for comment.

The Facebook post said police “will be releasing more information in reference to this case in the coming days.”
