Power outages could occur on two Saturdays
West Penn Power customers in parts of Butler and Allegheny counties may experience electrical outages on the mornings of March 19 and March 26, the company said in a press release.
The outages will occur between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. on both days, and affect about 3,700 customers across both counties. In Butler County customers in Buffalo Township and small portions of Clinton and Winfield townships will be affected.
Spokesman Todd Meyers said the outages are part of necessary work to replace a pole for one of the company’s transmission lines, which feeds the Silverville Substation between Tarentum and Natrona Heights.
The company said it will attempt to contact affected customers before both outages.
Customers with questions about the planned outages can call the company at 1-800-686-0021.
