Cubbage, Burd
Slippery Rock residents Rachel Cubbage and Scott Burd were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 2 at Muddycreek United Presbyterian Church. The Rev. David Lingle officiated. A reception followed at Hindman Hall.
The bride is the daughter of Alan and Lauren Cubbage of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Robert and Joyce Burd of Butler.
The honor attendant was Danielle Fishel of Wheeling, W. Va. Bridesmaids included Kelly Burd of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Joni Kostelnik of Grove City; and Brandy Fishel and Jocelyn Fishel, both of Butler. Flower girls were Alana Shuler and Lauren Shuler, both of Kingsport, Tenn.
Performing the duties of best man was Nathan Kostelnik of Grove City. Ushers included Robert Hloznik of Pompano Beach, Fla.; David Milligan of Fenelton; and Bradley Cubbage and Michael Cubbage, both of Butler. The ring bearer was Kyle Weitzel of Butler.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Moniteau High School and the cosmetology program at Butler Vocational-Technical School. She works at NexTier Bank in Butler.
The bridegroom graduated in 1995 from Butler High School and in 2001 from Slippery Rock University. He works for U.S. Investigations Services in Grove City.
Following a honeymoon trip to Gettysburg and Hershey, the couple is making their home in Slippery Rock.
