July 13 — Tyler J. Greene, 24, of Clinton Township was charged with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop last month on Route 356 near Parker Road. Police stopped him on a motorcycle about 8:45 p.m. June 17 for speeding and illegally passing another vehicle.
Greene admitted that he had “several beers” that day, according to court documents. He showed impairment during field sobriety testing and he was taken to Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Allegheny County, for a blood test.
Police said toxicology results indicated his blood-alcohol level was 0.133 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.
Greene is charged with driving under the influence, careless driving, improperly passing a vehicle, driving at an unsafe speed and driving without a motorcycle license.
[naviga:h3]Butler Twp Police[/naviga:h3]
2:14 a.m. Monday — A Berks County man was injured in a rollover wreck on New Castle Road. Police said Eddy Alvarez, 29, of Reading lost control of his pickup truck and crashed into an embankment.
Alvarez suffered apparent minor injuries but refused medical treatment. Police cited him for driving with a suspended license and careless driving.
Thursday — An Ohio woman was charged in a June shoplifting incident last month at the Butler Commons’ Walmart. Police said Barbara M. Tuttle, 44, of Parma failed to pay for merchandise valued at $5.38 and also returned merchandise.
Additionally, according to police, she returned for a refund merchandise that was not paid for totaling $20.09. Tuttle is charged with theft by deception and retail theft.
[naviga:h3]State Police, Butler[/naviga:h3]
1 a.m. Sunday — Colby A. Grossman, 22, of Slippery Rock lost control of his car after hitting a deer and struck a tree along Branchton just west of Heim Avenue in Cherry Township.
He was cited for failing to immediately notify police of an accident and failing to stop and give information or render aid after an accident.
2:30 a.m. July 15 — Jaque L. Thoma, 55, of Winfield Township was arrested for drugged driving on the 400 block of Frank Lane in Winfield Township. Police stopped her while investigating a reported domestic dispute that occurred earlier at her home on Marwood Road.
The defendant showed impairment during field sobriety tests, according to court documents, and she allegedly admitted to smoking crack cocaine before driving.
Police arrested Thoma and took her to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Toxicology results were still pending when police charged her.
She was arraigned on charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, and released on nonmonetary bail.
