BUTLER TWP — The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department hosts these events this week at Alameda Park, 184 Alameda Park Road.

Alameda Story Adventures for children age 6 and younger will be from 11:30 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Rotary Shelter. The program is free.

The free Outdoor Discovery Series will offer “Bugs, Bugs, Bugs” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Carousel Shelter.

The Moonlight Swim and Dive-In Movie will be from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday at Alameda Waterpark and include a showing of “The Secret Life of Pets.” For more information about the nonmember fee, call 724-284-5383.

The 50th annual Rider Family Reunion will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Miller Shelter of Memorial Park.

The Adam Rettig Sr. 54th reunion will begin at 2 p.m. Aug. 6 at the Rotary Shelter in Memorial Park.

Dinner will be at 5 p.m. and be followed by a business meeting.

Take a well-filled picnic basket and table service. Soft drinks, meat and chicken will be provided.

FOXBURG — Registration for new students in kindergarten through grade 12 for the Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District will be from 9 to 11 a.m. and noon to 2 p.m. Aug. 8 and 9 at A-C Valley High School, 776 Route 58.
