Mars High hands out technology
Mars Area High School will distribute One-to-One (1:1) Technology devices to students in grades nine to 12 between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday at the high school.
Students must reserve an arrival time online at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60b0a49a9a622a2fd0-mahs2. Face coverings (masks or shields) are required to be worn in the building and visitors are asked to maintain social distancing, where possible.
Students, who plan to take their device home, must also pay an annual $100 technology fee no later than Sept. 15. Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch programs are exempt from paying the annual fee. Any student who does not pay the $100 technology fee will be issued a district device for use during the school day only. Students must present all signed forms and/or the required payment to receive a district-issued device.
Mars high students are required to have either a district-issued device or an approved personal Bring Your Own Technology device. All BYOT devices must be registered online at http://wiki.marsk12.org/byot/ before the first day of school Monday or will not be permitted to access the district’s network.
