Cooper, Slamecka
Jaime Cooper and Brian Slamecka were united in marriage Dec. 27 at the West Sunbury United Presbyterian Church in West Sunbury. The Rev. Wayne Bell officiated. A reception followed at the Oakview Golf Club.
The bride is the daughter of Gene and Debbie Cooper of Portersville. Parents of the bridegroom are Jerry and Jane Slamecka of Butler.
The honor attendants were Jill Matta of New Castle and Jen Fleeger of Slippery Rock. Cassandra Caplan of Waterford served as bridesmaid. Flower girl was Mikayla Fleeger of Slippery Rock
Performing the duties of best man was Aaron Dickey of Butler. Ushers included Brad Slamecka of Cranberry Township and Matthew Slamecka of Butler.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Slippery Rock High School and a 2004 graduate of Penn State University. She received her master's degree in 2006 from the University of Pittsburgh. She works for the Shenango School District in New Castle.
The bridegroom graduated in 1995 from Butler High School and in 1999 from Gannon University. He received his master's degree in 2005 from Westminster College and is studying for his doctorate at Indiana (Pa.) University. He works for the Butler School District.
The couple are making their home in Slippery Rock.
