Elser, Rovan
Brittany Elser of Prospect and John Rovan III of Johnstown were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Steinenger Memorial Amphitheater at Camp Lutherlyn in Prospect. The Rev. Dr. John Seth of Murrysville officiated. Areception followed at Slippery Rock University.
The bride is the daughter of William III and Donna Elser of Prospect. Parents of the bridegroom are John Jr. and Patricia Rovan of Johnstown.
The honor attendant was the bride's sister, Colleen Elser of Prospect. Bridesmaids were the groom's sisters Carolyn Schuster of Meadville and Melinda Rovan of Newport News, Va.
Serving the bridegroom as best man was Adam Giordano of Jamestown, N.Y. Ushers were the bride's brothers, Shane Elser of Detroit and Quintin Elser of Prospect.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Slippery Rock High School; a 2005 graduate of Slippery Rock University, earning a bachelor's degree in literature; and a 2006 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, earning a master's degree in library and information science. She works as an information specialist at Concurrent Technologies Corporation in Johnstown.
The bridegroom graduated in 1998 from Southwestern High School and in 2004 from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, earning a bachelor's degree in engineering. He is employed as a manufacturing engineer at Martin Baker, America in Johnstown.
Following a honeymoon trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple is making their home in Johnstown.
