Tuesday — Jason A. Day, 39, of Butler allegedly tried to hide a syringe from police last week when they went to his home on Hansen Avenue as part of an unrelated criminal investigation.

While officers disposed of a small knife they found during a search of Day, he threw the syringe on the lawn. Police found it later while searching the yard.

Day is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Monday — Police charged Da Pol, 38, of Jefferson Township stemming from an investigation last month of suspected drug activity at a house on American Avenue.

Officers about 8:15 p.m. July 31 stopped Pol driving a sport utility vehicle near the house and noticed a baggie containing suspicious powder in the driver’s side door pocket. He admitted buying drugs at the house, according to court documents.

Police later searched Pol’s bandanna and found a baggie corner containing suspected crack cocaine and six stamp bags of suspected heroin. He is charged with two counts of a controlled substance, possessing of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license.

Also charged with possessing of drug paraphernalia were Pol’s four passengers — Cody T. Batcher, 25, and Pamela J. Truckley, 45, both of Clinton Township; Caitlin M. Devlin, 23, of Tarentum, Allegheny County; and Wayne R. Johnson, 33, of Chicora.

Additionally, Johnson was found to be wanted on a bench warrant.

Monday — Witt A. Yost Jr., 25, of Butler was charged with stealing a Kurio electronic tablet from a home in the 300 block of East Locust Street last month. The tablet, valued at $150, belonged to his ex-girlfriend’s son. It was taken July 19 or 20.

Yost is charged with theft and receiving stolen property.

11:47 a.m. Tuesday — Nathanual Wong, 33, of Lyndora allegedly assaulted a woman during a domestic dispute at her home in the 400 block of Bessemer Avenue. The woman suffered a minor injury. Wong is charged with simple assault and harassment.

Tuesday — Police are trying to crack a not-so-usual “egging” case. A house on Saw Mill Run Road was hit with eggs. But that wasn’t all.

The same home was the victim of “forking.”

That is, according to a police report, along with pelting the house with eggs, the unknown pranksters “placed a large number of plastic forks in the yard.”

Police guessed, in all, there were an estimated 100 forks in the yard. An empty 36-pack egg carton also was left behind.

In a separate egg attack, a home on Meridian Road was targeted. Two vehicles at the home also were hit with eggs.

[naviga:h3]State Police, Mercer[/naviga:h3]

Monday — A thief stole unspecified items from a vehicle at a home on George Junior Road in Pine Township, Mercer County. Police did not say if they have any suspects in the theft that happened between 1 p.m. Saturday and 5 a.m. Monday.
