SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University quarterback Tanner Garry has been named PSAC West Co-Offensive Player of the Week.
Garry threw for 518 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions in Saturday’s 49-45 win at Gannon. The passing yardage for one game is the most in NCAA Division II this season.
Garry’s 518 passing yards have been surpassed only once in SRU history. Don King III threw for 527 yards last year vs. East Stroudsburg.

GROVE CITY — Grove City College goalkeeper Trisha Winters has been named President’s Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Winters had eight saves in Grove City’s 4-0 win over Mount Union and two saves in a 2-1 win over Penn State Behrend.

GROVE CITY — Grove City College freshman linebacker Carl Jaszcar has been named PAC Football Rookie of the Week.
Jaszcar had 11 tackles and two sacks in the Wolverines’ 24-14 win Saturday over Sant Vincent. the victory snapped a 33-game GCC losing streak.

BRADFORD — Mars graduate and Pitt-Bradford senior goalkeeper Sarah Dailey has been named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the third consecutive time.
Dailey picked up her fifth shutout of the season in a 1-0 overtime win and made five saves in a win over Penn State-Altoona, allowing one goal.
