We sat with you today you know, sat right down in your chair

We really couldn’t see you but we knew that you were there.

We know you follow us daily, we’ve known that from the start

But at times we are afraid to look, so heavy is our heart.

We often feel you touch our face or think we feel you near

But when we try to see you it’s like you disappear.

Those special memories of you will always bring a smile

If only we had you back with us for just a little while.

So where that empty chair now sits, that once you sat each day

Please know we love and miss you in a very special way.
