Butler rallies to top Shaler
Ashleigh Huey had 16 kills, 23 digs and two blocks as the Butler girls volleyball team bounced back to defeat Shaler 19-25, 25-14, 25-22, 25-16 Thursday.
Brandie Welch added 10 blocks and four kills, Kelsey Rice had 15 kills and Jessica Schnur had 15 digs.
Butler improved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in section play. The five wins equal last year's win total for Butler, something that coach Meghan Lucas is very happy about.
"I feel like we are making progress and also gaining some respect at the same time," she said.
Butler plays at to Pine-Richland Tuesday.
Moniteau 3, Forest Area 0 -
Haley McFeaters had 54 assists as Moniteau swept Forest Area by scores of 25-11, 25-11 and 25-19.
Melissa Ciochetto added seven kills and Sarah Badges-Canning tallied six aces in this KSAC match.

The Wolves took this match by scores of 25-12, 8-25, 25-22 and 25-13. Christy Wallace had 12 service points for the Gremlins (0-3) while Julie Baptiste had a solid night in defeat.
