Route 68 crash sends cyclist to the hospital
OAKLAND TWP — An unidentified man was flown by medical helicopter to a hospital Sunday evening after a motorcycle crash on Route 68.
The crash occurred at about 7:16 p.m., according to emergency responders, who said the man was driving west when the one-vehicle crash occurred in the area of O’Donnell Car Wash in the 700 block of Route 68.
The man, who was not immediately identified, was flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, according to emergency responders. There was no immediate information on his condition or the nature of his injuries.
He was flown from a landing zone at the former Oakland Township Elementary School.
State police and the Oneida Valley and East Butler volunteer fire departments responded to the accident and remained at the scene for about an hour.
