Moses Jewelers was established in 1949 by Merril Moses. He started his business as a watchmaker in a small 12-by-15-foot store in Lyndora.

After 19 years in cramped quarters, he made the move to downtown Butler.

As the family grew, so did his business. Merril was joined by his eldest son, Larry, in 1973. Also a trained watchmaker, Larry is now at the newest Seven Fields store most days.

In 1981, their second store opened in the Clearview Mall. Tim joined the team in 1986 as Butler’s only graduate gemologist at the time. Tim manages the stores’ diamond and fine gem selection as well as daily operations.

Tim works in the diamond district in New York City and provides new resources, keeping Moses Jewelers on the cutting edge of the gem industry.

In November 2008, Moses Jewelers opened a beautiful new store in Seven Fields. This new location has provided a fresh opportunity to serve southern Butler County, while the Clearview Mall location continues to serve the loyal customer base and a new generation of shoppers in Butler.

Moses Jewelers sells many hand-selected large diamonds over 2-carats. Featuring The Moses Brand in both bridal and fashion jewelry, the line includes a custom-fitted wedding band for every engagement ring and exquisite MOSES-1 Custom Designs.

In addition, they offer a vast and diverse collection of vintage and repurposed jewelry and brands including Rolex, Bulova, Accu-Swiss, Swiss Army, The Moses Watch, Galatea: Jewelry by Artist and Chamilia.

This year, Merril, Larry and Tim celebrate 67 years of service. They are proud of all they have to offer, and they remain thankful for your business and every opportunity to earn your trust.
