Jury to mull case against man accused in 2 slayings
PITTSBURGH — Jury deliberations are expected to begin Monday in the trial of a man accused of having killed two sisters last year.
A Pittsburgh newspaper reports the defense attorney for 20-year-old Kylee Lankford told jurors Friday that they shouldn’t believe key prosecution witnesses.
Authorities say two men broke into a McKeesport home in September and Lankford ended up killing 52-year-old Melodie Robb and 55-year-old Kimberly Lesko.
His 20-year-old co-defendant, Miras Kelly II, has been offered a plea deal calling for 10 to 40 years. He testified that Lankford was the one who shot the women and a man.
