Foul shooting helped us beat them the last time and it will have to help us again." - Butler coach Dorothea Epps"We're approaching this like any other game. We split the two games with them in the regular season, so this is like starting over. We told the girls we have to play defense, cut down on turnovers, rebound and make free throws. That's how we played in the WPIAL playoffs and that's how we have to play now if we expect to still be playing in two weeks." - New Castle coach LuAnn GrybowskiDirections:Take Interstate 79 South to Ohio River Boulevard (Route 65) to Ambridge. They don't have anyone extremely big, so we match up pretty well. We've lost by two points (49-47 to Northeast, 52-50 to Cranberry) in the first round the past two years. This group of girls realizes they're seniors now and it's their last chance to make some noise in the state playoffs." - Karns City coach Chris Bellis"Before losing to Vincentian in the first round (two years ago), we haven't been in the states in a few years (since 1996).
