Schuey named Eagle general manager

Tammy Schuey

The Butler Eagle announced the promotion of Tammy Schuey to the position of general manager. The promotion was announced Tuesday by Eagle Publisher Ron Vodenichar during a meeting of the Eagle department heads.

Schuey will now be in charge of the direction of all six departments of the newspaper. She follows Vodenichar in the position as he remains in the position of publisher.

Schuey has been with the Eagle since 1991 and has held several management roles, including director of prepress, managing director of Business Matters, director of technology and assistant general manager.

Schuey is very involved in the community, having served on the board of the Butler County Chamber of Commerce, including serving as president of the board. She has also served on the boards of the Butler County Family YMCA, and the Ellen O'Brien Gaiser Addiction Center. She was named the Butler County Employee of the Year in 2006 by the Chamber of Commerce and was given a national award for her work in prepress in 2010.

She is a graduate of Lenape Vo-Tech. She is the mother of two and has four grandchildren. She resides in the Chicora area and enjoys bicycling, jogging, swimming and wine tasting.

Schuey was excited about her new position and responsibilities. She is looking forward to the opportunities it will open to allow her to continue to serve the company and the community.
