Yoga on Main may close or move later this year
The clock may be ticking for Yoga on Main at its current location on Butler’s Main Street. In a social media update posted Sunday morning, Aug. 23, Yoga on Main proprietor Heather Fahrenthold stated the business may close its doors or move elsewhere as early as October.
“Unless an act of God intervenes, Yoga on Main will close its doors in October,” Fahrenthold wrote. “Even writing those words feels surreal.”
Yoga on Main opened its doors in 2017, in a historic former bank building.
In a previous post to Yoga on Main’s Facebook page, Fahrenthold said the yoga studio’s lease was not renewed.
According to property records, the owner of Yoga on Main’s space on North Main Street is listed as “Reed Enterprises LLC,” which purchased it from Dath Properties for $290,000 in 2023. Reed Enterprises, which is run by Steve and Meredith Reed, also recently purchased the former Butler Brew Works property and helped transform it into Hop Car Brewing, which opened in June.
Fahrenthold and Reed Enterprises LLC were not immediately available for comment.
Earlier this summer, another downtown business, Totalus Cafe, a boba tea cafe on Jefferson Street, closed its doors after four years in business. The business, which closed the cafe in June, plans to reopen as a trailer.
