A 3-year-old boy was found dead in late June in a Mercer County home, according to state police.

The boy was unresponsive and not breathing when emergency services arrived June 27, in the 100 block of Columbia Avenue in Greenville, according to a news release.

State police searched the home and conducted interviews with adults and other juveniles at the scene, but no charges had been filed as of Wednesday, July 22.

Mercer County Coroner John A. Libonati is determining the boy’s cause and manner of death.
