Saxonburg Area Business Association launches new website
SAXONBURG — Visitors to the Saxonburg Area Business Association’s website may have noticed something very different this week. During its monthly board meeting on Tuesday, July 14, the association announced that it had debuted a newly-redesigned website the previous night.
According to association board member Dan Byerly, the matter of updating the association’s website has been a hot topic for some time.
“We’re dealing with some basic infrastructure in our organization, and the biggest hurdle there that’s been on the long-term list for a while has been our website,” Byerly said.
The new website features more up-to-date information on the businesses that are members of the association — about 111, according to Byerly — as well as a schedule of both meetings throughout 2026 and events organized by the association, including the Mingle on Main events, the Saxonburg Winterfest in January, the Artisan Festival in September, and the Holiday Parade in November.
According to Byerly, the new website will be much easier to maintain than the previous one, which contained out-of-date information on the list of member businesses.
“The back end is so much easier to update,” Byerly said. “For some time, the online (membership directory) has been … defunct because it was very onerous to update on the back end.”
The website can be viewed at www.saxonburgbusiness.org/artisanmarket.
