Robert Edward Mucha, 95, of Slippery Rock, passed away peacefully Monday, June 22, 2026, with family by his side.

Bob was born Dec. 14, 1930, in Hollidays Cove, W.Va.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Eileen Donnelly; son, Robert E. Mucha Jr.; daughter, Suzanne M. (David) Clisham; and stepchildren, Mark (Caroline) Donnelly, Kathy (Ed) Stewart, Mary Lou (Jim) Ford, Michael (Jaqui) Donnelly, Maureen (Bruce) Bennett and Suzanne (Barry) Andrews. Bob was the grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of two.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Anne Ptaszek Mucha; brother, George Mucha; and son, Richard Mucha.

Bob served in the U.S. Air Force. After his service, he attended West Virginia University where he graduated with a degree in pharmacy. Upon graduation, he worked in several retail pharmacy positions before accepting a position with Upjohn Pharmaceuticals in both sales and customer service for more than 30 years.

Bob always lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed sailing, golfing, traveling and spending time with family and friends. He brought laughter and joy to all with jokes or a song on the piano. He was cherished by everyone he met and will be deeply missed.

MUCHA — Family and friends of Robert Edward Mucha, who died Monday, June 22, 2026, will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.

The next day, Thursday, July 9, at 11 a.m., a funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 670 S. Main St., Slippery Rock.

An interment service with full military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 10, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the local animal shelter of your choice.
