Daniel Lamont Fair Sr., 69, of Butler, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

Born Sept. 2, 1956, in Butler, he was a son of the late Delmar Fair and Carolyn Zarnick Honse.

Dan owned and operated multiple businesses in the Butler area.

He was an active coach of youth sports. He loved classic cars and motocross. He enjoyed building engines from scratch and playing in his classic rock band, Straight Shooters. He was a man of God who loved his family and friends, and he held a special place in his heart for his grandson, Luke.

Dan was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. He was also a member of the RC Men’s Club.

He will be greatly missed.

Dan is survived by his loving wife, Dawna Crawford Fair, whom he married Nov. 22, 1980; three children, Daniel Fair Jr. and his wife, Susann, of Butler, Andrew Fair, of Butler, and Valerie Fair, of Butler; his grandson and the light of his life, Luke Fair; his sister, Lori Sibble and her husband, Brian, of Butler; and a number of aunts, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Randall Fair.

FAIR — There will be no visitation for Daniel Lamont Fair Sr., who died Thursday, June 25, 2026.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, June 29, at All Saints Parish, St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., Butler, with the Rev. Kevin C. Fazio officiating.

Burial will take place in St. Michael’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Daniel L. Fair Sr. to All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler, PA 16001, or to the Herman Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 87, Herman, PA 16039.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of MARTIN FUNERAL HOME SOUTH SIDE, 429 Center Ave., Butler.
