William Robert Smith, 83, of Cranberry Township, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

He was born in Pittsburgh on Jan. 12, 1943, son of the late William Joseph and Pansylee Peacock Smith.

A 1960 graduate of St. Elizabeth High School, Bill went on to graduate from Point Park University with a degree in business. After an early career at U.S. Steel, he worked in the fields of marketing and sales. An avid golfer, Bill enjoyed reading, cheering the Steelers on and spending time with family and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving partner of 37 years, Becky Camlin; his brother, Jack Smith (Patricia), of State College; son, Greg Smith (Betsy), of Carmel, Ind.; his daughter, Jennifer Smith Marnell (Brian), of Pittsburgh; his stepdaughters, Heidi Vandrak Rettig (David), of Harmony, and Heather Sullivan (Michael), of Roanoke, Va.; his 10 grandchildren; his great-granddaughter; and a niece and nephew.

SMITH — Visitation hours for William Robert Smith, who died Wednesday, May 13, 2026, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 10, at Cranberry Highlands Golf Course, 5601 Freshcorn Road, Cranberry Township.
