Seneca Valley grad Lexie Hames commits to Ole Miss
After a short foray in the transfer portal, ex-Seneca Valley star softball pitcher Lexie Hames has committed to Ole Miss.
“ITS A PARTY IN THE SIP,” Hames wrote Tuesday on X. “Beyond excited for this new chapter and to be a Rebel! HOTTY TODDY”
Per the school’s athletics website, Hames made 16 appearances in the circle for Clemson last season, striking out 36 batters in 27.1 innings. She posted two wins and a solo shutout, that coming Feb. 20 against Lipscomb.
Hames closed out her Seneca Valley career with 940 career strikeouts, lifting the Raiders to a pair of WPIAL Class 6A crowns and four appearances in the district title game. As a senior, she posted a 17-3 mark with a 0.48 ERA, 0.71 WHIP at 279 strikeouts in 116.2 frames.
Hames was named the Butler Eagle’s Female Athlete of the Year for a second year in a row last summer. She was also named the Butler Eagle’s No. 7 female athlete between 2000 and 2025, with Freeport’s Ally DeJidas (No. 3).
