Patricia Hauman

Hauman

Patricia Lee Yearick Hauman, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Chicora, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

She was the daughter of the late Marjorie A. Wood and Ralph M. Yearick, who welcomed her into the world on March 29, 1951.

After her graduation from Churchill High School in 1969, she attended Thiel College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology, along with an elementary teaching certificate.

While completing her Master of Education at Duquesne University, she met her husband, Robert “Ted” Hauman. They enjoyed many happy years together until he joined the Lord in 2014.

Pat spent 20 years of her career teaching first grade at Bruin Elementary School before becoming an elementary and junior high counselor for Karns City Area School District. After her retirement, she spent another 16 years as a volunteer tax preparer and instructor for Western Pennsylvania AARP.

She was also a talented crafter and gardener. She made beautiful birthday cakes for her children and grandchildren and spent many summers growing and canning food for her family. Her grandchildren especially enjoyed wearing sweaters knitted by Nana. Pat was a dedicated member of Reclamation Church in Monroeville. Her faith in God was the cornerstone of her life.

She is survived by her three sisters, Margaret Nupponen, Anne Yearick and Kathy Yearick; as well as a brother, Ralph “Chip” Yearick; her children, Kristin L. Hauman (Charlie Kulbacki) and Andy Hauman (Lynda); and her stepson, Robert T. “Rob” Hauman III (Susan). She was loved by her three grandchildren, Robin, Elliot and Fern. She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends.
